On April 17, 1988 a very special second hour was held in the meeting house facilitated by our clerk at the time, Bonnie Snyder. The idea for the gathering had been inspired by Margaret Baker, who had passed away before the event. The following is the beginning of a recording by the Wetherald brothers, Roger, William and Tom about their early experiences with the Quaker meetings that would eventually evolve into Adelphi Friends Meeting. The Wetherald family were also early members of the Patuxent Meeting and the Corinth Meeting, and later the Irving Street Meeting and Adelphi Friends Meeting.
